Some felt that the political circus provided in April by Cameron, Clegg and Brown was pure entertainment: now in its 39th year, the Bristol Harbour Festival is provides a more traditional entertainment.
The politicians provided only three star performers, with a few journalists hanging on. True there were some fancy lights and passing helicopters. But the whole thing lasted only a few hours. Most Bristolians concluded the whole exercise was self-serving, a passing whimsy only.
The Harbour festival shines in comparison.
There won’t be a politician in sight. If you do happen to see one, feel free to push them into the harbour.
